Conditions and trip look ideal for this gelding who is just 1lb higher than when scoring at Doncaster in July. Put in another respectable effort at Newmarket last time and now dropped in grade and with new headgear tried he is much respected.
His two best efforts so far have been on All Weather surfaces, which has to be a concern. Has slipped to a mark from which he may be capable of getting competitive, but does have it to prove on turf.
Won a Thirsk maiden over this trip (good to firm) in July and was back to form at Newmarket last time when beaten just 1L from today's mark. Looks capable of another good performance in this grade.
Saves his best for Catterick, though has run quite well here. Dropped 1lb after another reasonable effort at the North Yorkshire track last time and with 5lb claimed off his back, he should be in the mix.
Dual C&D winner on good ground (handles good to firm) and comes here in form after success at Hamilton last time. 7lb rise for that looks steep enough, though he won from this mark in Ireland last year, so could make a bold follow-up bid.
Won three sellers earlier in the season (5f/6f) and also scored in a 5f handicap at Beverley (good) last month. Only just held back there on Saturday from today's mark and looks a leading player again.
Came good at Windsor last month (5f, good to soft) and was beaten just a neck when trying to follow up from today's mark at Chester last time. Has run okay on fast ground, though wouldn't mind a drop of rain. Claims.
Has done all of her winning north of the border, two of them over C&D (good to firm) last year. Now 8lb lower than the last of those and would have decent claims from this mark if able to reproduce her effort behind Silvanus here in July.
Went close to winning at both Haydock (5f, good) and Thirsk (6f, good to soft) in July, and ran well enough from 1lb higher than today at Doncaster last month. Hard so see her winning from this mark and has to prove herself on quicker ground too.
Forecasts
Noah Amor (3/1), Landing Night (4/1), Liberatum (9/2), Just Us Two (7/1), One Boy (7/1), Alsvinder (10/1), Liquid (12/1), Oriental Lilly (16/1), Economic Crisis (20/1)
A competitive heat where Just Us Two should go close now dropped in grade and Liquid is another who looks booked for a good run. One Boy has been challenged by the handicapper after a steep enough 7lb rise, while Landing Night has a fair bit going for him. However, NOAH AMOR is enjoying a good season and from the same mark as when just held at Beverley on Saturday, he could get back to winning ways.
