Five-race maiden who is beginning to look one paced. Has a bit to find on official ratings but runs to a consistent level and he could pick up the pieces if others falter.
Unraced gelded son of Windsor Knot purchased for €15,000 as a yearling in September 2015. Full-brother to winning hurdler Windsor HIggins and probably best watched on racecourse debut.
Bred for middle-distances and has run into improving types on his two attempts at around this trip. He has looked one paced but this represents his best chance to open get off the mark and the stable are in great shape.
An official rating of 67 indicates he is one of the more moderate horses based with his trainer. Stayed on well to produce a career best in a weak Leicester handicap two months ago but it will take more to land this.
Runner-up in a slowly run Ffos Las maiden that lacked depth three weeks ago. That form may be unreliable but it was still a step in the right direction.
Forecasts
Reverend Jacobs (8/13), Uptown Funk (11/4), Count Simon (6/1), War Brigade (20/1), Hang Man (33/1)
Count Simon and Uptown Funk meet REVEREND JACOBS on considerably worse terms than they would in a handicap. The Haggas stable continue to send out winners with due regularity and although there runner here is unlikely to be a headline maker, the selection may be good enough to take the honours. He was ridden from the front last time in an effort to offset his lack of finishing pace and just found a Godolphin improver too strong. This is easier and similar tactics could exploit the deficiencies in his rivals.
