27 race maiden who went closest when a runner up off this mark at Taunton in April (3m good to firm). More moderate of late, admittedly in stronger contests than this race.
Tralee Point-to-Point winner in May 2016 (3m good to firm), but poor in a couple of goes over hurdles for Jennie Candlish and shipped back to Ireland. Wears a tongue tie for the first time.
18 race maiden who has hit the frame in his last five starts over fences. Reverts to hurdles for the first time since March, but from a 12lb lower mark, and that should help this fairly exposed sort.
Dual winner for Dianne Sayer (including at this track). Appeared strong stamina wise when making all to score at Catterick in December 2015, but unable to win again for that trainer, and poor on both starts so far for this yard.
Won just once in 19 starts when making all over a similar trip at Huntingdon (August 2015). She has claims from just a 7lb higher mark, but she's been off since December 2015, so it would be a mighty training performance to bring her back.
Had a few goes on the Flat for his new stable mid summer before an improved hurdles effort at Bangor. Beaten a short-head by subsequent Worcester scorer Plantagenet, so a 5lb rise looks justified and he should go close if staying the extra yardage.
13 race career maiden (includes 9 Point-to-Points). Finished last of eight to Flying Jack on handicap debut at Hexham last month (2m4f) and that's not good enough even at this lowly level.
Won once in 23 starts (over 2m2f in June 2016) and has on occasions been let down by his jumping. Back from a spell over fences at Bangor last month and connections opt for a new trip as a seemingly last resort.
Eight race rules maiden (also 0 from 6 in Point-to-Points). Longer trips of late have brought about no discernible improvement and impossible to consider despite a steady fall in the weights.
Won just once in 44 career starts at Wetherby in April 2014 and appears to have no obvious claims on what he's shown this summer.
Forecasts
Aristocracy (1/1), Leading Score (11/2), Zephyr (8/1), It's A Long Story (11/1), Bere Haven (14/1), Turtle Cask (14/1), Miss Mayfair (16/1), Primo Rossi (20/1), Exit To Freedom (25/1), Stetsonsnstilettos (40/1)
A dismal looking affair which despite the strong numerical turnout will take little winning. Zephyr has had plenty of attempts to break his duck, but assuming the ground doesn't slip past the forecast good (softer) would hold reasonable claims based upon his Taunton April effort having competed in stronger races lately. However, ARISTOCRACY receives a fair chunk of weight from his same aged rival, and with his Bangor effort franked by conqueror Plantagenet can provide Fergal O'Brien with another winner assuming he stays the longer trip as would appear likely.
