Sole turf success came over 7f here in June 2016 on yielding ground off a mark of 66, has mixed some promising efforts with plenty tames ones this year but could easily run a big race in this class.

Won Fairyhouse claimer in July over 7f and since been running mostly with credit in four outings dropped to 6f. Back up in distance seems the right move now.

Flat and hurdle winner in the past, well beaten at Galway Festival over 7f but July effort over this trip at Killarney (beaten a nose) would bring him right into contention.

Struggled since joining this trainer, mostly over hurdles, but also disappointing in two recent Flat runs at Roscommon. Down in trip with plenty to prove.

Just one notable effort from five starts, coming at Tipperary in June (1m1f, good) on handicap debut. Not as good once run since, cheekpieces tried here.

Hit and miss since winning over an extended 6f last winter, beaten a total of 75L in last four starts and best watched at the moment seemingly.

Twice a winner this year, including at last month's Galway Festival over extended-mile on soft ground, 10lb hike was enough to ground ambitions since at Killarney but not out of things in this field.

Filly has been well beaten in maidens at Galway and Killarney so far, she drops on trip here but looks one to give a watching brief to for now.

Forecasts

Empress Lyla (9/4), Dochasach (5/2), Palavicini Run (5/1), Maison Bleu (7/1), My Painter (8/1), Midnitemudcrabs (12/1), Camile (20/1), Double Fast (50/1), Desert Train (100/1)

Verdict

It might pay to forgive EMPRESS LYLA a poor run at Killarney last time out, she's twice won this year already, impressively so at Galway last month, and will handle the conditions here as well as any seemingly. Dochasach has been catching the eye in maidens at Leopardstown and should hold decent claims while Midnitemudcrabs and My Painter are not discounted at this level.
  1. Empress Lyla
  2. Dochasach
  3. My Painter
