Ineffective in four bumpers so far in his career and it is difficult to know where to start when making a case for the gelding. Others make much more appeal.
Finished last of 17 on debut in a Down Royal bumper in May. Yard very quiet sending out six runners this season without success.

Four-year-old gelding by Royal Dragon out of a Smadoun mare. Sire not generally known for his national hunt progeny. Others just preferred on debut.
A fair introduction at Limerick in March when fourth of 13 beaten 14L. Possible for the gelding to improve on that run in today's company.

By four-time Ascot Gold Cup winner Yeats out of a Slip Anchor mare. Yard very quiet with just three national hunt winners in the last five years and 0/21 this season.
By Excellent Art out of a Exceed And Excel mare. From a yard known to have one ready this time of year and are 3/15 with their bumpers this term.
By Chimes Of Midnight out of a Zilzal mare. Sire not generally known for his progeny under any code. Others readily preferred.

Robin Des Champs gelding, well related to Quevega, Vautour and Robin Des Champs. Expected to improve for debut run when third of nine at Tramore.

Forecasts

Kirwans Lane (6/5), Some Day Soon (2/1), Elusive Exclusive (9/2), Doumba (12/1), Fr Gilligansvoyge (18/1), Da Boss Says Sell (25/1), Midnight Lightning (33/1), Alfred Eile (40/1)

Verdict

Fascinating contest where half of the field are in with some kind of shout. Doumba and Kirwans Lane should be checked in the betting, while Elusive Exclusive can go well on his return to the track. Preference is for SOME DAY SOON who was well backed on debut when third of nine at Tramore and could be on a retrieval mission here with Jamie Codd in the saddle.
  1. Some Day Soon
  2. Doumba
  3. Elusive Exclusive
