Blotted his copy-book in the Ahonoora handicap at the Galway festival last month when beaten 11L. Won three times in June including over C&D last time out. Can go well again just 1lb higher than that win.
Beaten just 3¼L in the Ahonoora handicap at the Galway festival, before ninth of 27 last time out at the Curragh over 1m. Drop in trip may suit but has struggled on heavy ground in the past.
Well beaten and no impression on her last two starts including as disappointing favourite last time out. Up in trip but hard to anticipate what progress first-time tongue-tie and cheekpieces combination will bring.
Disappointed last time out following some satisfactory performances in July and August. Has won on three occasions on heavy ground and a big player here.
Has struggled in four seasonal starts all over 7f. Has placed on two occasions over 7½f but others readily preferred for this contest.
Has failed to beat a single runner home in her last three starts and difficult to begin to make a case for the filly even with first-time hood.
Won a Leopardstown handicap on soft ground in June but has battled against a rise in the weights when well beaten on his last three starts.
Entering the veteran stage of his career but appears to be holding his form at the moment. Has form on heavy ground over the distance and in a field of this size.
Forecasts
Not A Bad Oul Day (3/1), Stenographer (4/1), Tribal Path (9/2), Bubbly Bellini (11/2), Gentil J (11/2), Truffles (8/1), Snoozing Indian (16/1), Dandyman Port (20/1)
It could turn out that the two expected to lead here may well be fighting out the finish given their solid form on heavy ground in the past. Tribal Path has has been rock-solid for most of the season and can be forgiven his last run at the Curragh. NOT A BAD OUL DAY, has won three of his last four starts and can go well again just 1lb higher than his last win over C&D. Gentil J and Bubbly Bellini are also on the shortlist given their form on heavy ground.
- Not A Bad Oul Day
- Tribal Path
- Bubbly Bellini
