Beat Romeo Is Bleeding over C&D in June and meets him on the same terms today, so every chance of beating him again, but two very mediocre efforts since then temper enthusiasm. Drop in grade may help.
Tends to do best work when going from the front, and made every yard to score easily at Stratford in April. Falling back towards a winnable mark again, and if allowed to dominate, may be hard to catch.
Point-to-point winner last year but little to write home about since then, and weakened right out of it at Newton Abbot when last seen. This trip looks on the short side and despite falling mark, others preferred.
Well into the veteran stage now and a record of just three wins from 44 starts rather tells it's own story. Not disgraced at Hexham on latest start but would ideally like a bit further, and a place may be the best he can hope for.
Just one win in 20 starts, that coming in a Tramore handicap hurdle last year, and recent efforts rather suggest he's quickly on the downgrade. Well behind Sage Monkey here last time and hard to make a case for.
Showed some potential as a pointer and now starting to fulfil that, if recent win over the potentially well-treated Raleigh Mountain is anything to go by. 5lb higher here but a big surprise if he's not capable of better. Clear chance.
C&D winner here last year and very well handicapped on that, but doesn't win many and his recent runs have little in the way of positives. Never in it latest and looks a very risky proposition now.
Often travels well in his races only to find little off the bridle, but will at least like this drop back in trip after once again not getting home over further here last time. Ability is there if he cares to use it.

Forecasts
Sage Monkey (5/4), Toe To Toe (4/1), Romeo Is Bleeding (4/1), Desertmore Hill (9/2), Deise Vu (8/1), Mr Sawyer (14/1), The Shepherd King (16/1), Intifadah (25/1), Heurtevent (33/1)
None of these are known for their consistency and a degree of caution is advised. DEISE VU has a reasonable record here and might be able to dominate, and on what looks a winnable mark gets the vote. Romeo Is Bleeding did it nicely here last time out and is the obvious one if he's in the same frame of mind. Toe To Toe will travel best but invariably finds less than you think once push comes to shove, but can take third.
