0-10 so far and has struggled to get competitive in handicap company so far. Drops another 3lb going into this and now has 7lb claimer up, so we could begin to see him take a hand at the business end.
Scored over 2m1f at Cartmel on his first start for this yard last year, but well beaten on both runs this term since being stepped up to 2m4f. Drop back to 2m may help, but comes here with a bit to prove.
Won from a 4lb lower mark at Market Rasen in April, but held twice since from just 1lb higher than today. Probably has frame claims if he can run to his best.
Point-to-point winner who has been well beaten in all three starts in novices' company. Now goes handicapping from what looks a stiff enough mark, though a market check is suggested.
Sprang a 40/1 surprise for his local trainer when he scored over C&D in May, though was 16L in arrears of her stablemate when runner-up at Market Rasen next time from today's mark. Doesn't meet him again here and should be competitive.
Has shown glimpses of ability over hurdle without threatening to win one and it was much the same at Perth last time. Does seem a little better for a break between runs, so might be able to reproduce that sort of effort after almost two months off.
Changed hands to this yard prior to his most recent run and managed to break his maiden tag on his 19th start. Raised 7lb for that, but unlikely he would be where he is if there were not potential for more and he should be a leading player again.
Won here over 2m4f in April (good) in novices' company and went close from this mark in a Kelso handicap two starts later. Well held in three starts since, but not that the assessor has relented she could again get involved.
Dual C&D winner some time ago and he returned to form at Cartmel last time when a 4L winner from today's mark. Follow-up bid looks set to be hugely competitive.
Won at Fontwell in December from 5lb higher, but has been well beaten in all starts (including last two for this yard) since. Conditions and trip no problem and any support for him would be interesting, though perhaps otherwise best watched today.
Was recording his first British win when taking a Perth handicap hurdle (2m, good to soft) last time out. Could do no more than win, though beat a bunch of exposed performers and needs to improve to follow up from 3lb higher.
Makes her debut for this yard after failing to show anything for two previous trainers in bumpers. 9lb lower than her last hurdles start in 2015 and hood now applied. Precautionary market check suggested.
Sole hurdles success was in a Taunton selling handicap (2m½f, good) in April from 4lb lower, though he has been well beaten in all four starts since joining current yard. From the same mark as last time it takes a leap of faith to see him winning.
Doesn't find enough at the end of his races, hence being 0-33, but has already shown that he is capable of making the frame over C&D this season from 1lb higher. Each-way claims.
Forecasts
Shrubland (9/4), Baraboy (6/1), Ujagar (13/2), Tekthelot (17/2), Hey Bob (11/1), Prairie Impulse (14/1), Firstymini (16/1), Bohernagore (18/1), Tell The Tale (18/1), Louloumills (20/1), Kisumu (20/1), Arabian Oasis (22/1), Wells Gold (33/1), Just Chilly (66/1)
SHRUBLAND enjoyed a rapid upturn in fortunes for joining Dan Skelton prior to his last start. He looks capable of building on that success here from 7lb higher. Louloumills is back on a competitive mark, while Hey Bob also has claims of picking up some prize money. Just Chilly and Bohernagore would both be interesting if supported, while Prairie Impulse and Tell The Tale are others to consider.
