Three disappointing and heavy defeats, including recently at Downpatrick. One to pass over this time.
Ran well enough when finishing fourth of seven in a hood over 2m at Limerick on debut but beaten 33L last time out. Hood gone and hard to fancy.
Tongue-tie already on for debut for gelding by Multiplex out of a Executive Perk mare. Yard known for having one ready in this kind of contest.
Unseated on debut and not much better last time out at Kilbeggan when 43L behind the winner.

Experience of three bumpers, but beaten a long way in all of them. Not seen since Punchestown in May and best left alone.

Disappointing on rules debut at Punchestown when, headed approaching straight, soon weakened over 2m in April. Easily dismissed for this.
Interesting debutante by Waky Nao out of a Darnay mare. Though stable are 0/15 with their bumpers this season.
Good solid run at Ballinrobe when second of eight beaten 3L over 2m1½f. From strong yard, with capable rider in the plate.
Daughter of Echo Of Light out of a half-sister to German Group 3 winner Exquisite Champion. Disappointing debut, beaten 38L, seventh of eight.
Ridden and no extra 4f out, on debut at Clonmel, beaten 39L in September 2016, before returning to the track earlier this month, but well beaten 45L.
Daughter of Robin Des Pres who was progeny of Cadoudal, sire of Long Run and Big Buck's.Ninth of 15, beaten 56L, but best left alone here.

The fitting of a first-time hood could help, given the stumbling and jinking last time out in a Cartmel handicap hurdle.

Youghal By The Sea (4/5), Kildorrery (7/2), Keepinupwitdjones (10/1), Backstairs Bounder (12/1), Waky Flyer (12/1), James Eclipse (16/1), Robin On The Hill (16/1), Who's For Tea (20/1), Mohart (25/1), Kinnagoe Boy (33/1), Leannes Lady (33/1), Alfred Eile (33/1), Hawthorn Echo (33/1)

Verdict

Not a lot of talent on show here, which could turn out well for the Gordon Elliott-trained, YOUGHAL BY THE SEA, who should have too much for this field. Each way backers should be looking at the likes of Kildorrery, Waky Flyer and one I particularly like, Who's For Tea.
  1. Youghal By The Sea
  2. Who's For Tea
  3. Waky Flyer
