Had a good spell on the AW last year but went up 13lb in the ratings. May have been in need of the run when she finished last on her debut for her new yard earlier this month but still looks weight to the hilt and has a bit to prove on turf.
Gone well over C&D before now and arrives here in fair form - won at Newbury on his penultimate start but held from a 4lb higher mark at Doncaster last time. Hard to predict what mood he'll be in but claims if on song this time around.
Just one win from 14 previous starts but has been admirably consistent albeit at a modest level. The drop in trip shouldn't be an issue and will be dangerous to underestimate if he strides out to the best of his ability.
In flying form and won a couple of modest races in good style last month. Hard to say what would have happened if the saddle hadn't slipped last time out. But she is on a reasonable mark and is capable of making another bold bid. Shortlisted.
Holding his form really well and would fully deserve a change of fortune. His latest efforts read well in the context of today's race and no surprise to see the gelding heavily involved in the thick of the action.
Best form over 10f but reasonable to say this trip stretches him to the limit. Good claimer booked and first-time visor may help but needs a lot to go his way if he is going to reverse his recent slide in form.
Forecasts
Hepplewhite (2/1), Monsieur Glory (11/4), Pastoral Music (7/2), Tobouggaloo (7/2), The Salmon Man (16/1), Mayasa (33/1)
This may be the day for HEPPLEWHITE to finally gain some reward for a handful of consistent efforts. Tobouggaloo is closely matched on the pick of her form and has to be feared as a threat, while Monsieur Glory has acted well at this track in the past and is no forlorn hope to be involved at the business end.
