Placed once from three starts in Ireland and ran well on debut for this stable when finishing 3L second over 1m1f at Hamilton (good-to-soft) last week. One for the shortlist making a quick reappearance here.

Unraced gelded son of Exceed And Excel cost 200,000gns as a yearling in October 2015. Half-brother to a couple of useful middle-distance performers and worth a check in the market on debut.

Well beaten on both starts so far including when 17L fourth at Pontefract (soft) over 1m on debut a month ago. Others make more appeal here.

Well held in two maidens so far including in first time cheekpieces (retained) when finishing behind Haroon at Hamilton last week. More needed if she's to take this.

Finished in the first three on all five starts so far but a beaten favourite on four of them. Finished 2L third in first time cheekpieces (retained) over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton last time and likely to play a leading role here.

Forecasts

Sea Tide (8/15), Haroon (3/1), Kai Tak And Back (5/1), Bombay (6/1), Little Jo (33/1), Biba (33/1)

Verdict

HAROON can get off the mark at the second attempt for this stable having run well when finishing second at Hamilton recently. The selection should appreciate the forecast underfoot conditions and with the trip to suit also can see off Sea Tide who was a beaten odds-on favourite when last in action at Wolverhampton earlier this month. Debutant Kai TaK And Back was an expensive purchase as a yearling and can claim third here.
  1. Haroon
  2. Sea Tide
  3. Kai Tak And Back
