Rated 73 on the Flat he failed to win in that sphere although he did come close to winning on a few occasions. Raced at up to 1m2f on the level so should stay a sharp 2m1f here and the yard have had some success with juvenile hurdlers.

The best of these on the Flat (rated 77) he managed to win off a 9lb lower mark when taking a Chepstow 0-70 1m4f handicap in June (race produced four next time out winners). Disappointed on his last Flat run (testing ground) but should prove interesting here.

The only other Flat winner in the field she makes her debut over hurdles here having won a Yarmouth seller over a mile for David O'Meara on her last start. Travelled well enough but did look to have stamina problems and even this sharp trip may test her.

Neil Mulholland took this race last year with a similar type so hat must give supporters of Charlie Rascal some hope as he looks to have a very similar profile although his jumping is still rather slipshod and he faces a couple of decent rivals who were relatively decent on the Flat here. Marginal preference is for KNIGHT DESTROYER who won a decent Flay handicap for the grade and could well improve for hurdles. Jamacho went close on a couple of occasions on the Flat and wasn’t treated that far behind him and those two could both win races in this sphere. Glorvina completes the quartet but she may well have trouble staying this trip even on a sharp track like Cartmel.
