Victorious over 7f at Newmarket (good) 13 months ago but had just three starts since. Well held on seasonal debut at Newbury (soft) recently and entitled to have improved for that run.
C&D winner on good ground in June and ran well when third on the AW at Newcastle subsequently. Soft ground probably against him when finishing fourth last time out and interesting with a sound surface likely here.
Seven time winner including at Newcastle on the AW 13 months ago. Well beaten on debut for this yard at Doncaster (7f, good) last weekend and worth a check in the market here.
Maiden winner at Doncaster (good) over this trip last October but failed to build on a promising handicap debut when third at Goodwood (good-to-firm) in May. Wears a tongue tie for the first time today.
Debut winner at Kempton over this distance last September and returned to form when finishing runner-up the last twice. Races off a mark 5lb higher than when beaten a head at Sandown (good-to-soft) last time and sporting a visor for the first time..
Disappointing in four starts so far this season including at Newcastle on the AW last time. Races off the same mark as when winning over 7f at Ascot (good) last September.
Both victories have come over this trip at Doncaster including on good ground last month. Disappointing off a 6lb higher mark dropping to 6f at Newmarket subsequently and represents a yard with a 60% strike-rate (3/5) of late.

Firefright (9/4), Horsted Keynes (7/2), Sultan Baybars (4/1), Gothic Empire (6/1), Hyde Park (8/1), Highland Colori (10/1), Fighting Temeraire (12/1), Mujassam (12/1), Barracuda Boy (18/1)
SULTAN BAYBARS has attempted to make all when finishing runner-up the last twice and can take this event wearing a visor for the first time today. The selection appears to be the sole pace angle in this contest and can see off Firefright who represents the in-form Jeremy Noseda stable having disappointed at Newmarket last time out. The experienced Highland Colori can finish third dropping in trip having been racing over 1m of late.
- Sultan Baybars
- Firefright
