Like a fair few juveniles from this yard he improved on his debut run to take 6f minor event at Windsor last time out and now steps back up to 7f (made his debut at the trip). Has to concede weight all-round but can put experience to good use.

A debut winner for the yard and that indicated that he was useful although he did get found out under a penalty attempting to follow up. Still worthy of respect here but may again find one or two too good especially among the newcomers.

Stable not known for winning with two-year-olds on their debut (0/30 in past year) so this son of Dutch Art may be best watched here. Has a decent pedigree but may need time and best watched here.

4/6
One of two runners from this yard who started a very strong favourite when narrowly beaten on his debut over C&D (came from a less than ideal position). Expected to improve here and provides his yard with another strong contender.
Yard don't have that many juvenile runners but are capable of producing one first time out. This son of Poet's Voice is quite stoutly bred though and he'll probably need the run here given his pedigree.

Yard have a decent record with their newcomers over the past year and this son of Kitten's Joy is out of a dam who was a winner over a mile and a half-sister to an American Grade 1 winner over 1m1f. Clearly one to note in the market.

Has shown poor form in minor events so far at Windsor and York both times over 6f looking still in need of the experience. Tongue-tie goes on for the first time but one of the lesser lights here.

Stable only just starting to get going with their juveniles and both his runs so far have shown promise but still looked as though he needed the experience last time out. Should have more to offer and hard to leave out of the equation here.

Showed some promise on his debut over 7f at Goodwood but was in need of the experience (slow away and ran green) but open to improvement in the future.

100/1
Stable not noted for their debutante winners in this sphere and this half brother to a winner at up to 1m2f Love And Dance will probably need the run and best watched here.

From a yard that are selective with their two-year-olds but have a good record so far this year (8/44). By Exceed And Excel out of an unraced dam he's a newcomer worth noting.

Thrave
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: Harry Bentley| T: H Candy
25/1
From a stable that are bereft of a winning juvenile in the past year (0/19) he cost £88,000 as a yearling. He has some decent winning relations in his pedigree although he looks one who will do better in time.

An expensive purchase at €55,000 as a yearling for this yard he's a half-brother to three winners including useful winner up to 1m Pleaseletmewin. Yard are not known for their juvenile winners though and stand at 1/15 this year with two-year-olds.

Al Hajar (4/6), Ode To Autumn (6/1), Al Barg (6/1), Fortune's Pearl (12/1), Deyaarna (16/1), Airglow (16/1), Power of Darkness (18/1), Thrave (25/1), Revolutionary Man (33/1), Tommy Boy (66/1), Agar's Plough (100/1), Fiery Breath (100/1), Prince Consort (100/1), Banjo's Voice (100/1)

Verdict

With eight debutantes in the field this isn’t a race that really appeals as a betting contest although those that have run set a decent standard. Al Barg and Ode To Autumn who ought to show some improvement on his two runs so far are two that appeal but its AL HAJAR who didn’t get the run off the race on his debut who is the suggestion. Of the debutantes Revolutionary Man is worth noting from the Crisford yard who are always to be noted with the juveniles with Deyaarna another one having his initial run to note in the market.
  1. Al Hajar
  2. Revolutionary Man
  3. Ode To Autumn
