Winner here earlier in the year (seller) but form since has taken a turn for the worse. This is his easiest task for some while, though, and the addition of a tongue strap may help. Watch the market for clues.

Veteran that ran okay at Hexham two starts back but hasn't built on that in two subsequent starts. Trip and likely ground fine but needs improvement from somewhere to get involved.

Just the one win in 21 starts and hasn't been with new yard that long. Some promise to be taken from his recent run on the Flat and this quicker ground may help. Can't be discounted form a feasible mark.

First run for new yard. Often travels well in his races only to find less than expected when push comes to shove. On a fair mark but new yard not known for first time winners and best watched on this occasion.

Did win a minor point-to-point at Garthorpe in 2016 but nothing since, and did no better for the step back into handicap company last time out. Takes a big step back in trip here and hard to fancy.

Capable of winning when the mood takes him, but better known as a chaser. Nevertheless, on a fair mark and will strip fitter for recent pipe-opener after eight months off. Likes this track and not ruled out.

In good form at present and found only one too good at Newton Abbot last time. Keeps being well backed, on same mark here as last time and so with trip worries and likely ground fine, ought to be on the premises again.

Just one win in 19 starts, but ran the well handicapped Sky Of Stars (won again next time) close here in July. Not disgraced next time out in a race that's working out well, and holds chances in an open race.

First run for new yard, trip and ground look fine based on her second at Tramore last year but not seen out for almost ten months and unless market vibes are strong for her, others make more appeal.

Did a little better last time but still hung under pressure and was well beaten in the end. However, first run for new yard who has improved one recently from the same trainer so worth a look in the market at least.

Frustrating individual that often travels well in his races but races awkwardly under pressure and hangs. Ran to his level again at Fontwell last week but once again less than enthusiastic at the business end. Others preferred.

Did win a selling hurdle at Taunton last season but has been well beaten on both starts this. May strip fitter for those but gave up pretty quickly last time and still hard to fancy in current form.

Kublai (15/8), Bring Back Charlie (9/2), The Kvilleken (7/1), Dealing River (15/2), Ujagar (14/1), Centreofexcellence (14/1), Frozen Over (14/1), Swaledale Lad (14/1), Astrum (16/1), Berry De Carjac (20/1), Syracuse's Dream (25/1), Bob's Boy (25/1), Trendy Nurse (50/1)

Verdict

A finale to tread carefully with, as none of these can be fully trusted to give their running. BRING BACK CHARLIE is given another chance as his form here from two starts back looks the most solid, and this looks easier than the race he took in at Worcester last time. Astrum is another that faces an easier task and with the tongue-tie back on here, may do better on a track he likes. Both Centreofexcellence and Bob's Boy would warrant a second look if the money came for them.
  1. Bring Back Charlie
  2. Astrum
