Useful hurdler, made a really nice start to chasing career when a four-length winner at Worcester last month and looks like making an even better chaser. Needs quick ground so wants the rain to stay away, but could be hard to peg back.
Won a couple of small-field novice events in the spring but recent efforts suggest he's rather gone off the boil, finishing weakly. Yard gone quiet as well and others readily preferred.
Made a couple of mistakes but that didn't stop him making a winning chase debut at Newton Abbot last month, the application of a tongue-tie possibly helping. Up 6lb for that but still on a fair mark so the follow-up not ruled out.
Not a bad first effort over fences at Uttoxeter considering the trip may have been a bit far, and will appreciate these conditions today. Gets plenty of weight allowances but may need to eradicate the mistakes if he's to shake the others up.
Forecasts
Going For Broke (6/4), Adrrastos (7/4), Ravens Hill (3/1), Deauville Dancer (12/1)
Both ADDRASTOS and Going For Broke made a good impression on their chasing debuts and preference is for the top weight, who will try and run the finish out of the others as he likes to bowl along in front. The sort to make hay in these early-season events before being put away for the winter, he can boss this small field and score again. Going For Broke and Ravens Hill both need to tidy their jumping up a little if they are to throw down a challenge, but should be up to winning similar events this autumn.
