Successful three times for Richard Fahey but well beaten in all four outings for this yard in 2017. Handicap mark is falling as a result but hard to fancy in this.
Winner of seven of his 63 starts but held in six outings in 2017. Apprentice ridden on his last three outings and races off a mark 16lb lower than for his latest success.
Best effort since joining this yard earlier this year came when third of 11 over 1m2f at Wetherby (soft) in early June. Beaten in three starts over around this trip since and races off the same mark as when fifth at Wolverhampton last time.
Disappointing in two starts since finishing a close fourth over 1m2f at Ayr (good) last month. Cheekpieces worn on that occasion return today have been replaced by a visor and blinkers the last twice.
Bidding to complete a hat-trick following victories at Newcastle (1m2f) on the AW and over an extended 1m at Beverley (good) last weekend. Carries a penalty for that latest success and likely to run well again here.
Returned to form when finishing third at Ayr (good-to-soft) over 7f last time out. Well held on four previous outings and races off a mark 1lb lower than when successful over 7f at Ayr (good) in June.
Had three starts since finishing fourth over 1m at Chelmsford in March 2016. Well beaten on his debut for this stable and his first outing for over a year at Wolverhampton last time and others make more appeal here.
Run well without troubling the judge the last twice most recently at Pontefract (soft) over this trip earlier this month. Races off a mark 18lb lower than when winning here in July 2015.
Successful off this mark under today's over 7f at Ayr (good-to-soft) last month and put in some respectable efforts since. Has to put a disappointing effort over the same C&D last time out behind him.
Best recent effort came when finishing third over 7f at Ayr (good-to-soft) on her penultimate outing. Well beaten at the same course last time out and 0/31 on turf.
Well beaten so far this year including over 1m1f here on her penultimate outing. Handicap mark is slipping as a result and she finds herself rated 10lb lower than when winning at Carlisle last year.
Put a few disappointing efforts behind her when finishing fourth over 1m1f here earlier this month. Should appreciate the ground forecast but racing from out of the handicap here.

Jim Goldie's RIOJA DAY has been kept busy this year and showed signs of returning to form when finishing a decent third last time out. The selection won off a higher mark at Ayr a copule of months ago and can take the opening contest on the card. Hat-trick seeking Bigbadboy has been in good form of late and can claim second today carrying a penalty for a victory in an amateur riders contest at Beverley last week while Little Pippin can claim third on ground that is likely to suit.
- Rioja Day
- Bigbadboy
- Little Pippin
