Winner of her her only start on the Flat in France over 1m2f in February 2016. Sire has made a good start with his jumpers and likely to prove hard to beat on her debut for leading connections here.

Maiden after 15 starts but produced one of her better efforts when third in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Downpatrick (good) earlier this month. One to note in this contest.

Maiden following 11 outings and well held in four starts so far in 2017. Have to go back to July 2016 to find her most recent placed effort and others make more appeal here.

Best effort so far came when 11L fifth in a first time tongue tie (retained since) over C&D on her penultimate outing last month. Well beaten fifth here since and others have a more obvious chance today.

Well held in two maiden hurdle outings on good ground so far. Most recent of those came at Punchestown in May and probably best watched here.

Unraced daughter of Gold Well and full-sister to the useful hurdler The Unit. Represents a leading stable here and one for the shortlist on her racecourse debut.
Couple of fair efforts in maiden company on the AW for Johnny Murtagh late last year but well held in a handicap in that sphere and two maiden hurdles since joining this yard.

Forecasts

Shanning (1/3), Amarillo Rose (13/2), Echo Lady (8/1), True Identity (12/1), Kitty B (20/1), Aurellia (100/1), Sylvi (100/1)

Verdict

SHANNING can maintain her unbeaten record by following up a French Flat success in this opening mares maiden hurdle. The selection hails from a leading stable and can get the better of the unraced True Identity who is well-bred and another who represents a leading stable. Of the remainder Amarillo Rose ran one of her better races last time out and can finish best of the rest.
  1. Shanning
  2. True Identity
  3. Amarillo Rose
