Progressing nicely in this sphere over the summer, just denied the hat-trick at Worcester last time, let down somewhat by sketchy jump at second last. Remained game after and strong claims again going up in trip.

Maiden winner here over 2m5f last month, coming home in a common canter. Since left Nicky Henderson to join this yard. Drops in distance now and has to be taken seriously on the back of that effort.

Tailed off here last week over longer trip, was sent off a 50/1 chance for the rules bow and looks to be carrying limited hopes once again.
Showed precious little in two hurdles start in Ireland, both over 2m, first start for this yard now and upped in trip. Stiff task.
Mare has not beaten a single rival in four completed starts and makes no appeal for this contest on form.

Another former Seven Barrows inmate, she showed precious little in hurdles outings at Stratford and Ludlow in the autumn of 2015 and has now been off 649 days. First start for this handler.

Verdict

This looks to be a match between the top pair on the card, and there doesn't appear to be a lot between WHOSHOTWHO and Gustave Mahler. The selection won very easily here in maiden company and, going up in trip, may be able to make the 6lb he receives count. Richard Johnson's mount meanwhile is going up in distance and showed a real determination to battle despite defeat at Worcester in his hat-trick bid last time. The remaining quartet have very little going for them, Irish import Fifty Shades perhaps having some scope for better in new surroundings.
  1. Whoshotwho
  2. Gustave Mahler
  3. Fifty Shades
