Made all to win a C&D handicap two starts ago and although he ran off 5lb higher at Goodwood last tim, it might have been the soft ground rather than the weight which beat him. Respected back at this track.
Won under today's jockey on the AW at Chelmsford in May, but subsequent efforts off lower marks on turf have been below-par. Switched back to an artificial surface off only 1lb higher than for his last win, he has to be considered.
Won over C&D before finishing second to Maakaasib last time. She is progressing well and there should be little between the pair again off these terms.
Only 1-16 overall and 0-2 on the AW. Ran well at Newmarket and Epsom at the beginning of last month, but two outings since have not been so good and she is now 2lb lower. Not as solid as one or two of her rivals.
Consistent performer from 5f-7f, but his three AW wins have come away from this track. Ran well under this claimer over 7f last time and the drop back in trip should not be a problem.
Forecasts
Maakaasib (6/4), Hackney Road (5/2), Dark Side Dream (5/1), Plucky Dip (6/1), Storm Cry (11/1)
With the champion jockey reunited with Plucky Dip, the gelding has to be considered, along with the consistent Dark Side Dream. But the two with the best recent C&D form are MAAKAASIB and Hackney Road and the former is marginally preferred. Storm Cry has plenty to prove on this surface.
