A very speedy individual who loves to push the pace and is being given a chance by the handicapper although he is usually best off the front. May well get taken on here but has shown that he can handle the undulations at this track.

His last win came over C&D in similarly small field in May off a 5lb lower mark and he's struggled the last twice in better grade. Overall he looks a little vulnerable but is returned to his last winning grade which gives him a chance.

The final C&D winner in the line-up his win came in a maiden here in May in a weak contest. His handicap form since then has shown no progression and he'll do well to keep pace with this experienced bunch.

Not the most reliable but usually manages to win his share although it's Chepstow that appears to suit him best. May well get taken on here at the head of affairs and he has been known to finish rather weakly.

Forecasts

Secret Strategy (13/8), Taajub (7/4), Sandfrankskipsgo (9/4), Monumental Man (5/1), Quantum Dot (5/1)

Verdict

Just a small field but with Quantum Dot and Monumental Man in the field this should be run at a good pace which will suit the two Peter Crate runners. Both have their chances and if SANDFRANKSKIPSGO does come here after running at Windsor he may well be able to hold off his stablemate Taajub who might do better back in this grade after being a little highly tried of late.
  1. Sandfrankskipsgo
  2. Taajub
  3. Monumental Man
