Horse A-Z
First bumper runner of the season for this yard with this half-brother to 2m hurdle winner Scooter Boy with the dam from the family of Gold Cup winner Forgive'N'Forget. Yard have had some success in this sphere and he should be noted in the market.

14/1
Yard have only had one bumper winner in the past five years (0/5 this season) but have an interesting debutante here with one who is really bred for the Flat and has some good relatives. If he lives up to his pedigree he could well make his mark in this.

9/2
Had a couple of runs in Irish maiden point-to-points (beaten favourite on second start) and makes his debut in bumpers here. Yard have yet to have a bumper winner in the last five years (0/9) and others are preferred.

Yard not known for their bumper runners and only cost £3,000 when bought recently despite having winning relations on the Flat. Dam was unraced and he's probably best watched here unless the market speaks for him.

Very much shaped as though he needed the experience when a well beaten seventh of eight at Perth recently and would need to improve a great deal to take a hand here.
Hooded for her debut she ran very green when a 100/1 chance (unruly before the start) over C&D in June and promised little better for the future. Can only be watched here.

Failed to complete in both her point-to-point starts this year and prior to that was pulled-up in a Newcastle bumper on her Rules debut. Hard to be positive on this second bumper start.

Only one very modest effort to her name when finishing well held on her debut at Catterick last November. Comes from a family that contains some fair jumping sorts but so far doesn't look to have the same ability although she may improve yet.

5/2
Makes her first start for this yard having been bought for £12,000 from Pam Sly for whom she ran two decent races. Didn't quite progress as expected on her second start at Towcester (might have done a little too much) but sets the standard here.

Looks to be the second string for this stable but the pedigree contains some bumper winners while the unraced dam is a half-sister to the useful hurdler/chaser Hand Woven. May well need the run here but not totally out of this on breeding.

Forecasts

Buy Mistake (11/8), Rose Tree (5/2), Mick's Wish (9/2), Klare Castle (7/1), Liskeard (14/1), Brandy Burn (28/1), Farocco (33/1), Sodoi (50/1), Biddy Black (66/1), Beyondperfection (250/1)

Verdict

The Corbett yard are capable of delivering winners in this sphere and Rose Tree making her debut for the yard sets a good standard on form but she has had a couple of chances now and there may be one or two lurking in this field on their debuts. One such runner could be LISKEARD who is well bred and with his pedigree should be running on the Flat and he could attract some market interest. Klare Castle is another newcomer worthy of note along with Buy Mistake.
  1. Liskeard
  2. Rose Tree
  3. Klare Castle
