Got his wins in early over hurdles winning his first two starts while the field were weak having only been modest on the Flat. Found out by his penalties last time out (jumped poorly early on) and has to give weight away all round again here.

Overcame a shocking run of jumping when making a successful start to his jumping career at Stratford (form franked since). Followed that up by winning back on the Flat last time out and has a leading chance back over hurdles but needs to improve his hurdling.

Only a modest maiden on the Flat he was well beaten by Costa Percy in his hurdling debut over C&D at least managing to complete. Since then he's shown nothing in two non-completions looking a very awkward ride last time out at Market Rasen.

Interesting debutant from a good yard who was fairly useful on the Flat in France. Failed to fire as yet for current connections but is related to a useful hurdler/chaser in Lethal Weapon and may do better in this sphere.

Well held in three AW maidens she is a half-sister to the fairly useful hurdler Scoglio. She was well beaten (27L) by Costa Percy on debut when a 100/1 shot tiring rapidly in the closing stages and may have stamina issues

Verdict

The weight that Costa Percy has to give away here may well be his undoing with the other penalised runner TAXMEIFYOUCAN looking to have a little more improvement in him on the back of his latest Flat win. Both will need to brush up their jumping though and if there is a wildcard in the line-up then it would be Something Brewing. He’s yet to really sparkle yet for this yard but they are good at rejuvenating horses and he showed some decent Flat form and could going jumping might just give him some zip back.
