Won here over 6f on debut but out of her depth seemingly in the Albany at Royal Ascot since, too early to be writing her off and should have more to offer. Yard in great shape.
Progressed nicely in maidens and won over 6f here on third attempt (good to firm). No match for Happily in Leopardstown Group 3 over this trip last month and big ask to reverse that form.
Vocalised filly, dam a half-sister to Listed placed Permission Slip. Ran a fair race on debut, shaping like she would be better for that experience but is being asked a very stern question now. Others readily preferred.
Galileo filly made light work of Group 3 at Leopardstown last month over this trip, making it two wins from three starts. Gets nod from Ryan Moore ahead of very talented stablemate September.
Maiden winner at Cork over a mile this month on second start, respected but facing down against a pair of hugely talented stablemates here and they appeal more.
Daughter of Dawn Approach was just behind Magical on debut at Cork this month (1m, good), needs to find plenty improvement for the experience to get off the mark in this more exalted company.
Deeply impressive in winning both starts so far, including Listed Chesham at Royal Ascot in June. Moore plumps for stablemate Happily instead.
Arcano filly cost 44,000 gns as a yearling, got up well to win 7f Galway maiden this month but facing a serious step up in class now.
Forecasts
September (11/10), Happily (6/4), Magical (11/1), Mary Tudor (12/1), Black Sails (12/1), Dawn Delivers (25/1), Shekiba (28/1), Feisty Katerina (66/1)
Aidan O'Brien took this with Rhododendron a year ago and he holds a very strong hand again. It is hard to split HAPPILY and September but marginal preference goes to the former on account of the fact she's already won a Group 3 (easily) and gets the nod from Ryan Moore. Both have enormous scope for better and Royal Ascot winner September is not likely to go down without a fight. Magical and Black Sails appeal most from the remainder but it will be a shock if the front two in the market are denied.
- Happily
- September
- Magical
