Point-to-point winner who caused a surprise when winning on her third hurdle start at Uttoxeter looking as though she would be suited by further. Was stepped up in trip on her handicap debut last time but disappointed off this mark and more needed.
Looks a versatile sort within this grade having won at Sedgefield in March over 2m5f off a 9lb lower mark. Has maintained his consistency since then and given his last run will appreciate a return this trip and looks a player here.
His form in bumpers and over hurdles can only be described as modest so far as he goes handicapping for the first time. Showed his first form last time out but a repeat of that would still leave him short here.
Previously with Gary Moore when running over hurdles and fences his only win came in a poor handicap chase (2m1f). Back over hurdles for his new yard last time (stiff task) and far more needed here to get involved.
Irish raider who makes his second start for his new yard but still to win a race. Was running with credit last time out when falling at the last (keeping on well) and a repletion of that performance will see him go close.
His form so far isn't much to write home about and for the most part he's just plugged on into the places. Failed to make any progress last time out on handicap debut and off a 2lb lower mark is best watched again.
&D winner off a mark of 96 last year but really has looked out of sorts of late both over hurdles and fences. The last win did come out of the blue but it's hard to be confident about his chance here.
Finally took advantage of a slide in the weights to score in May over C&D scoring with plenty in hand. Returned after a break from that win and reverted to type producing a laboured effort and hard to know what to expect now.
An enterprising ride almost saw him bounce back to some sort of form on his penultimate outing and cause a big shock. Failed to back that up on his last start however and overall isn't one to trust.
Bumper and hurdles form so far doesn't inspire any confidence in his chance here and even a switch to handicaps didn't really look to show any spark. Can only be watched even in this lowly company.
Forecasts
Galveston (9/4), Pikarnia (11/4), Spoils Of War (5/1), Bridane Rebel (10/1), Schlipf (11/1), Highland Peak (16/1), Instingtive (18/1), Karingo (20/1), The Conn (20/1), Mollies Gent (20/1)
A race that really lacks any strength in depth with very few if any improvers in the field and it probably offers a good chance to GALVESTON to get off the mark with his run (until falling) last time out some of the best form on offer here. Pikarnia looks to be the main danger with this trip sure to suit and then it becomes a test to find anything that may well outrun their odds and that could be Bridane Rebel or Instingtive whose trainer has a good record here.
- Galveston
- Pikarnia
- Bridane Rebel
