Makes his debut here and is a half-brother to three winners including the smart Pan who won at up to 1m1f. The dam (Spain) won the Breeders' Cup Distaff and it will be interesting to see how he goes on debut here and should be watched in the market.
A beaten favourite three times now all at odds-on including the last twice and wasted what looked to be another good opportunity last time out at Newmarket on soft ground over 7f. Given his overall record he's not one to be backing at short odds no matter what the race is.
Interesting debutante for powerful connections having cost 65,000 as a foal. Dam was a winner over 1m1f but there is some speed in the pedigree and he's one to watch on debut.
Beaten at a short price when favourite last time out that was disappointing in light of the promise that he had shown on his debut. Travelled as well as anything at Doncaster but did look as though he was ready for a longer trip now with a step-up to 7f+ suiting ideally.
The only filly in the field her two runs so far have been fair and no more and she probably went backwards from her debut last time out at Yarmouth. Even in this small field she looks to have plenty on her plate here is she is to break her maiden.
Forecasts
Ptarmigan Ridge (6/4), Buxted Dream (2/1), Perfect Sense (11/4), Charleston Belle (14/1), Fortune And Glory (16/1)
A testing little finale in betting terms with none of these having rock-solid credentials and Buxted Dream has surely run out of chances now. Fortune And Glory is worth watching on his debut as is Perfect Sense but PTARMIGAN RIDGE may well be able to put his experience to good use even though this trip looks a bit on the short side even in the testing conditions.
