Flat winner at Killarney in May and plenty of promise on his debut over hurdles last week when third of 19 at the Galway Festival. Should run well with that experience under his belt.

7/1
Tailed off on all four starts to date including three outings over hurdles. Given a break since his latest run but hard to fancy on all known form.

50/1
Fourth of 10 in a point-to-point on first start but pulled up on only subsequent start in that sphere. Makes his first start under Rules today and looks an unlikely winner.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: Keith Donoghue| T: G Elliott| OR:  105
13/8
Has been running consistently well this year without winning before finishing a well beaten ninth of 20 last time out at Galway. Still a maiden after 24 starts but likely to get off the mark sooner rather than later and this looks a weak race.

Well beaten at Kilbeggan last time on second start over hurdles and shown very little on the Flat prior to that run. May be better given more time.

Not much form in point-to-points to date and likely to struggle on Rules debut for a yard with only four winners from 270 runners over hurdles.

10/1
Still a maiden after 15 starts and yet to as much as place in a race. Shaped a little better on her last two outings but needs to improve to trouble the principles here.

100/1
Tailed off on both starts over hurdles and hard to fancy off the back of those efforts. Wears a first-time tongue-tie.

Forecasts

Shinghari (11/10), Canny Tom (13/8), Ancient Empire (7/1), Ayelya (10/1), Sea Captain (25/1), Seskin Flyer (25/1), Artic Fever (50/1), Mistiness (50/1), Pennyroe (100/1)

Verdict

SHINGHARI may be the one to side with after a very promising effort on debut. Canny Tom is very consistent but the fact he's still a maiden is a little off-putting. Ayelya may prove best of the rest after some improved performances of late.
