C&D winner a month ago when the ground was riding soft. Failed to back it up next time when behind a couple of these on a better surface. Stable going well and rain would improve his prospects further.
Has failed to build on juvenile promise but still produced a good effort in a much better race than this at Hamilton in June which has worked out well. Hung under pressure last time and trainer now opts for a visor. Sure to be a danger if that produces even modest improvement.
Closely matched with stable companion Cheeni on their clash here last month. All eight wins have come here including five over C&D. Best form nowadays comes off marks below 60 and that makes him look vulnerable with the yard's horses running below their best.
14-race maiden but there are causes for optimism as she is dropped in class and her mark is becoming more attractive. Closely matched with Dapper Man on running behind Foxy Boy in June and she has made the greater progress since. Promises to find the extra furlong and better ground in her favour and one to consider.
Impressive Wetherby winner who was unlucky to run into Foxy Boy on his next two starts. Last couple of runs have seen him run below those levels on softer ground. It would come as no surprise to see him bounce back if the rain stays away.
Winner of a couple of minor AW handicaps earlier in the year. Goes well fresh so a three month break is less of a concern than the current form of the stable.
13-race maiden who has produced just one noteworthy performance. Some of the stable's horses have underperformed lately and others make more appeal.
Veteran with a 9-69 record makes a belated reappearance. Trip and grade are fine but last win came almost two years ago and stable are 1-52 with horses returning from a break of more than 150 days.
Landed her only victory in 20 starts over C&D last month and went down under a penalty over 5f a week later. The stable have gone off the boil but she holds claims in what is a similarly poor race to the one she landed.
Inconsistent 13-race maiden with a tendency to miss the break. Blinkers applied for the first time and they need to have a significant impact.
Won a Hamilton handicap over 6f last summer off a mark of 54 last summer but has really been struggling this year after switching to this yard. Best effort came last time on AW at Newcastle over 5f but even that leaves plenty room for improvement.
Forecasts
Racquet (9/2), Insurplus (9/2), Hamidans Girl (5/1), Eltanin (6/1), Cheeni (7/1), Dapper Man (17/2), Termsnconditions (10/1), Ss Vega (12/1), Goninodaethat (14/1), Roman Times (28/1), Jebel Tara (33/1)
It is hard to be confident about many of these and a tentative vote is awarded to HAMIDAN'S GIRL. She has run some solid races in defeat and promises to be back to her best over this trip and with ground conditions improving. The stable are in form and she is dropped in class to meet some exposed types. Jim Goldie saddles four with Cheeni and Goninodaethat looking the pick of the bunch. Racquet is one to consider if there is rain and Eltanin is worth checking in the ring for signs the new headgear has shown signs of working. Impressive Wetherby winner Dapper Man is closely matched with the selection and is feared back on the forecast sounder surface.
