Cheap purchase who was an impressive winner here on debut and was not disgraced on his first run over this trip. Neither race has worked out particularly well and he could be vulnerable under his penalty. Stable 11-39 in past fortnight.
Stable have been in good form but it remains hard to see this son of Cityscape being up to this level.
March foal who cost 42,000 gns. Son of Lawman out of a dam who was effective from 7f-1m2f. Related to a couple of winners and a market check advised. Stable are 9-62 with their youngsters here so it looks more likely he is one for another day.
€30,000 purchase at the breeeze-ups by Most Improved and a half-brother to Marco Botti's String Theory who is a useful winner of three races at up to 1m1f. Worth a market check on his debut for a yard in form.
Half-brother to moderate 5f winner Mystical King, out of a 1m-1m1f winning half-sister to Sobriety (smart at 1m2f) and 6f/8½f winner Violet. Blew the start on his debut when last of five and he does not look good enough.
Gelded son of Ravens Pass who fetched 30,000 gns as a yearling. Related to a couple of winners at around 7f-1m. The yard are 10-54 with this age group in 2017 so one to note if supported.
Made a bold bid from the front at Beverley last week in what looked a stronger race than this. Beaten less than a length by two horses who came up what later proved to be the quicker ground on the stands side. Similar tactics on this easier track will make him hard to beat.

I'm Improving and Salazar are the most interesting of the newcomers but WEELLAN sets a high standard based on his bold front-running effort last week in a better race than this. He was only reeled in close home on a stiffer track than this and it alter transpired the first two had found the pick of the ground. French Flyer was impressive here on his debut but that form looks weak now in comparison to the selection.
