In form and ran as well as ever when taking a handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe last time out, staying on well late on. Cheekpieces on there retained tonight and if she can translate that ability back over fences, holds a very solid chance here.

Seems on the downgrade at the age of 11 and well beaten on most recent starts. Cheekpieces given a go tonight but they need to have a dramatic effect. Hard to fancy.

Two solid enough efforts over fences recently and showed this sort of trip suits when a staying-on second at Tramore last time. Had a short break, which may have freshened her up, and soft ground would pose no issue. Not discounted but may need a little more.

Point-to-point winner back in 2015, so perhaps unsurprisingly improved on his hurdles form when narrowly denied on chase debut at Wexford a fortnight ago. Likely to improve again and gets a useful bit of weight, so with likely conditions fine, looks a big player here.

Well backed to deliver at Stratford on latest start and duly delivered, winning with any amount in hand. Likely to face different ground conditions here but if handling them, no saying he can't follow up, with more improvement likely.

You have to go back a long way in his form to find anything resembling a solid effort (thrown in here on close fourth to Creevytennant) but looks a shadow of himself on recent form. Hard to make a solid case for, although return to fences may help.

Not far behind Caniwillyegiveme on recent Wexford form, but runner-up likely to confirm it at these weights. Running consistently well but hard to say he's improving at present so may need to pull more out here.

Trip and likely ground both fine, and he gets a useful chunk of weight from the top ones, but may find others improving past him here. May be happier back in a handicap and others preferred.

Forecasts

Caniwillyegiveme (3/1), Manuka (3/1), Tiliver (4/1), Fenlon's Hill (5/1), Scripturient (7/1), Scenic Star (11/1), Hero De Villeneuve (16/1), Tom Horn (25/1)

Verdict

If SCRIPTURLENT proves as effective on softer ground tonight then he's probably the one to catch. His jumping was much better at Stratford last time, and it may have been that, rather than anything else, that proved the key factor. If he jumps as well here he's got definite chances of following up. Caniwillyegiveme and Manuka look the two most likely to give him problems. Both are going the right way and should have more to offer.
  1. Scripturient
  2. Caniwillyegiveme
  3. Manuka
