Boylesports Handicap Chase (0-123)

Maiden hurdle winner at Ballinrobe last year but recent chase starts suggest he's gone right off the boil, and was well beaten latest. Trip and likely ground fine but hard to fancy at present, and others preferred.

Weakened out of it late on over hurdles latest, and this small drop back in trip will suit, previous chase effort at Ballinrobe solid (third gone close, fifth a winner on Flat) and Davy Russell an eyecatching booking. Looks a player.

May have found trip too far at Roscommon last time so excused that effort, needs to refind earlier Fairyhouse form when second to Laid Back Luke to hold best chance and with these conditions more suitable, that's not impossible. Not ruled out.

In great form over both hurdles and fences, came away in closing stages here at Sligo last time (hurdle) and on a 2lb lower mark back over fences tonight, clearly holds every chance of the hat-trick. May not want ground too soft but that aside, a leading player.

Not seen out since January and likely to need the outing, fairly handicapped on hurdles form (winner at Thurles last year) but likely to need further than this, and on balance, best watched here.

Left previous chase form behind with a game win at Tipperary last time, the reapplication of cheekpieces possibly helping. Up 6lb for that and back on a right-handed track here, which may not be a positive (jumped left there) but clearly in good heart and not discounted.

Ran right up to her best recent form when second at Wexford recently but takes a big step down in trip here and that doesn't look a positive move, given she was doing her best work late there. Others preferred.
