Unraced Beat Hollow colt, who cost €62,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to a number of useful horses including Asidious Alexander. Made a pleasing debut when second at Doncaster and the winner has run well since. Looks the best of those to have run.

Son of Acclamation who fetched 62,000gns as a yearling and 150,000gns as a 2yo. He is a half-brother to French 7f winners Love Freedom and St Andrews Day. Eye-catching pedigree and of serious interest on debut for a powerful yard.

Monsieur Bond gelding whose dam was placed over 7f and 1m. Went off at 200-1 on debut at Thirsk and finished 10th of 11. Surprising if he is able to make an impact in what could be a decent juvenile contest.

Mid-division in races at Carlisle and Redcar. Raced keenly over 7f last time, so the drop back to 6f should suit. Qualifies for nurseries after this and that may be where his future lies.

By Australian sire Lonhro, she is a half-sister to six winners including leading Honk Kong middle-distance performer Vengeance Of Rain. Strong stable is having a great time with its juveniles, so this filly must be taken seriously on debut.

Mayson filly who cost only £800 as a yearling, but is a half-sister to four winners. Hampered at the start when beating only one home on her debut at Beverley and can only be watched with a view to the future.

Not unfancied when mid-division in contests at Thirsk and Carlisle. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this race and the nursery route looks right for her.

Forecasts

Beatbox Rhythm (10/11), Capesthorne (7/2), Chief Justice (4/1), Tebay (6/1), Mecca's Spirit (8/1), Dowitcher (8/1), Battle Commence (8/1), Saisons D'Or (14/1), Marconi (50/1), Honey Gg (50/1), Troop (50/1)

Verdict

Of those to have raced, Doncaster runner-up Beatbox Rhythm sets the standard, but there are some nicely-bred debutants in opposition, most notably CHIEF JUSTICE, Capesthorne and Dowitcher. The market will be the best guide to their chances, but it is interesting that the selection cost much more at two than he did as a yearling so he must be an imposing sort for a stable in good form with its juveniles.
  1. Chief Justice
  2. Beatbox Rhythm
  3. Dowitcher
