A 5f soft ground handicap saw him off the mark for the season although that run came in lower grade and an 8lb rise has forced him into a higher grade here. Should continue to run well though he has to operate off a career high mark here on quicker ground.
A previous C&D winner in a slightly better grade than this he enjoyed the return to this grade and a reduced mark when winning at Chepstow in June. But it's been downhill since that win and although he's run in higher class than this three times since he really doesn't look in form.
One of only a trio of three-year-olds in this he won over C&D on his penultimate start taking advantage of a much reduced mark to land his second course success. Positive tactics (used for both wins) appear to suit him and this is a slight drop in grade and a return to a trip that suits him better.
A winner earlier in the year off a 3lb lower mark at Chepstow over 6f he's continued to run with credit but he does look rather held off marks such as this. Rather disappointed last time out and this trip looks a little on the short side.
Has slipped back to below his last winning mark and although he's without a win this year he did run with credit last time. May find this trip a little on the short side though and other are better fancied.
A rare runner at the track for this yard he remains a fair maiden producing a decent effort last time out in a Thirsk apprentice handicap. Doesn't look totally straightforward and has run a little freely in the past.
Has possibly run a little better than her form figures suggest this year and looked to need her first two runs after a break. Made her effort too early last time out at Salisbury over 6f and needs a better paced ride to be seen as a threat.
Certainly being given a chance by the handicapper and ran a respectable race last time out racing off the pace over C&D (not seen to best effect therefore). Mark continues to fall and he may well take advantage soon.
A back-to-back handicap winner in 2016 with the second win coming over C&D in a 0-60 handicap off a mark of 56. Has failed to win since and her recent form means that she is hard to fancy here from out of the handicap.
0/14 is her overall record and she showed little last time out and will find life tough here racing from 6lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts
Our Lord (3/1), Liberatum (7/2), Secret Potion (4/1), Island Cloud (11/2), Showmethewayavrilo (7/1), Essaka (9/1), Indian Affair (12/1), Burauq (12/1), Kingstreet Lady (12/1), Go Amber Go (12/1), Bushwise (16/1), Langley Vale (16/1), Evening Starlight (18/1), Allen's Folly (40/1)
If the rain continues to come it will be to the advantage of OUR LORD who despite the rise in the weights still looks as though he can progress again against a field that doesn’t hold any secrets from the handicapper. Island Cloud looks capable of winning a race and if the run tests her stamina that will suit her much better. Both Essaka and Evening Stalight could be seen as threats while Liberatum is a rare runner at this track for his trainer but does get a handy weight-for-age allowance and that may well help.
- Our Lord
- Island Cloud
- Essaka
