20,000 gns juvenile. Third foal by Elzaam out of an Italian maiden (Zuppa Inglese). Makes his racecourse debut here from a low draw having held a choice of other possible engagements at Brighton later this week.
Seeks to get off the mark at the fourth attempt having finished runner up on his last two starts over this sort of trip at Haydock and Beverley. Arguably his latest effort was not quite as strong as his previous one, but sets the clear benchmark for the others to aim towards.
Shaped as if improvement was likely when seventh of ten on debut at Chelmsford (7f) in late June. The winner, second and sixth from that contest have all won since; whilst the third placed horse has also done well, so that form-line looks strong enough. Worth keeping a close eye on in the market for support.
Inexpensive foal who fetched 22,000 gns as a juvenile. by Delegator out of Beechnut, he's a half-brother to winners over various trips. Ran okay on debut at Chepstow (6f good) when fifth of nine to She Believes and entitled to improve for the experience. Up in trip.
Slowly away and appeared badly in need of the experience when a never competitive seventh of nine on debut to Demons Rock at Chepstow (6f) last month. Possibly better over an extra furlong, but others would appear much likelier winners.
Not really shown enough to suggest he can be involved based upon the evidence of his two starts to date on Tapeta at Wolverhampton and turf at Lingfield. Likely to encounter a sound surface here, but probably stronger with a trip and more time.
Unraced second foal by Thewayyouare and a half-brother to 5f AW winner Snoozy Sioux. His dam was a modest dual purpose maiden and his trainer is an infrequent source of juvenile winners, so others are likely to be much sharper.
Unraced 3,000 gns yearling by Cape Blanco out of Zeva. His dam was a 1m winner in the US, and a half-sister to various Group 3 winners. Stable continues to churn out a regular supply of winners, and this race is the pick of various engagements for this newcomer (also declared at Yarmouth and Wolverhampton later this week).
$15,000 juvenile with a US pedigree (by More Than Ready out of Crystal Lake Drive). Interesting to see how this first foal fares on debut, but she might feasibly do better once switched to synthetics.

Forecasts
Iconic Sunset (1/1), Surfa Rosa (4/1), Neverbeen To Paris (9/2), Dashing Dusty (10/1), Trumps Up (14/1), Follow The Feeling (14/1), Uncovered (25/1), Shadow Seeker (25/1), Affluence (33/1), Tulane (50/1)
Iconic Sunset is the benchmark horse in this juvenile contest and sets a reasonable standard for the others to aim at without necessarily appearing bulletproof himself. The James Tate trained colt is likely to be thereabouts, but there are a couple of viable alternatives at better odds. Trumps Up was cheaply bought as a yearling, but is worth noting on debut for Mick Channon, whilst NEVERBEEN TO PARIS suggested that there would be better to come on debut at Chelmsford in June, and that overall form has been fairly well advertised since.
- Neverbeen To Paris
- Iconic Sunset
- Trumps Up
