Useful enough hurdler between 2m and 2m4f, but his opening effort over fences was stronger than his latest. Both of those placed efforts have come at Uttoxeter (2m4f) and the first time cheek-pieces are applied today.
All out to repel Red Riverman over fences at Cartmel (2m1f+) on his penultimate start last month, but disappointing when switched back to hurdles at Bangor on Friday. No worries with this track, but 6lb higher than his Cartmel success, so vulnerable.
A seven race maiden over fences, but was a runner up on his first two starts for this trainer at Southwell (May) and Stratford (June). Hurdles winner over this trip for Alan King, who can be excused his latest effort (lost a shoe).
Returned from a lengthy absence at Cartmel last month when a ½L second to Domtaline, and has won his next two starts at Uttoxeter (2m) and Stratford (2m1f). A fluent fencer whose latest 3lb rise is negated by his riders claim, and ought to go very close if staying this longer trip (won over this trip in August 2013).
Boasts a 50% strike rate over fences (3 from 6) with the latest of those victories coming over 2m2f at Taunton in March. Beaten off this mark at Wincanton in April, but should be sharper for a recent spin over hurdles at Stratford.
His sole career success came over fences at Huntingdon in May 2016, and he missed the bulk of the winter campaign last term after a busy early autumn. Entitled to have needed the race at Southwell in June, and did much better over C&D latest when going down by 1¾L to Miss Conway. Up 2lb, but should remain on the premises.

RED RIVERMAN has returned to the track in fine fettle, and looks more than capable of notching the hat-trick under the useful 5lb claim of Zak Baker. He has won twice since being edged out by Domtaline at Cartmel early last month, and this likeable nine-year-old should take all of the beating despite today's longer trip (won a beginners chase over a similar trip at Ffos Las in August 2013).
