Two wins from three starts on turf lately, including at Hamilton 15 days in spite of hanging badly in the closing stages. Has risen 12lb for those wins, but no certainty the handicapper has wrestled control back just yet.
Wins over this C&D and same trip at Thirsk last month, both times showing real tenacity to get the job done. With rider's claim helping matters here, the hat-trick bid is very much alive.
Winner over this trip at Hamilton in May (sole success on turf to date) and has continued to hold form well enough since. On a fair mark if producing best stuff.
A 12-race maiden, the filly has rarely looked like ending the sequence. Last of ten over 6f at Catterick nine days ago, she gets first-time blinkers added now but has a lot of improvement to find.
No win in ten starts so far, most of which have come over this trip, first-time cheekpieces made little difference last time out on the AW at Newcastle and massive leap of faith needed to see a turnaround coming now.
Sole turf victory came over this C&D, although that was all the way back in September 2012. Has dropped to a basement mark and took second over C&D in May (beaten 3¼L) but all things considered, doesn't appeal as a likely winner of this.
Just the five starts and best of those came over this C&D ten days ago when finishing 1½L third of six in a handicap. That belied previous form, but could have a role to play if corner has been turned and trainer always respected on home soil.

Forecasts
Culloden (9/4), Nuala Tagula (9/4), Pearl Acclaim (10/3), Kodimoor (9/2), Lizzy's Dream (6/1), Brendan (10/1), Emerald Secret (12/1), Roman Times (12/1), Luv U Always (28/1)
A few of these come here in good form while, conversely, some apparently have big questions to answer. Pearl Acclaim has hit the crossbar on his previous two starts, including over C&D but his poor strike rate tempers enthusiasm that compensation might be in store. Kodimoor and CULLODEN on the other hand have shown their willingness to win. The former won in spite of hanging at Hamilton last time and will enhance his claims if charting a straighter course but Culloden has shown real guts in winning here and at Thirsk and look well-in with Manuel Fernandes taking a handy 7lb off also to help. They look the most likely winners but Brendan can be given a chance of hitting the frame having improved last time around here for her local trainer.
- Culloden
