Won over C&D on debut (soft) last year and added further success over this trip to his CV at Haydock (good to firm) last month. 3lb higher here and ran well enough from this mark on soft at Sandown last time, so shouldn't be far away. Rain would be a plus.

Both his wins have been here on good / good to soft ground, the latest being a 16-1 surprise last time. Carries a penalty for that today, but he did it well enough and should be capable of going close again now that he has returned to form.

Sole success was here over C&D (good) in May in a lower grade contest, but he has remained competitive since from similar marks to today's, including when a beaten favourite on firm ground here last time. Should be thereabouts.

Has gone close in all three visits here this season, though ironically recorded his only win at Salisbury (5f, good to firm) amid all of that. Probably put up a better effort than that over C&D last time, but still needs to eek out a bit more to be winning again.

5lb higher than when scoring here in June (5½f, firm) and went very close to a follow-up from 1lb lower than today at Windsor next time. Certainly capable of winning this and has had excuses on his last two starts, so a win would not surprise. Blinkers traded in for visor this time.

Yet another with winning course form, having scored here over 5½f (firm) last month. Up 3lb for that, which looks very fair, so will need to improve on her last effort in this grade at the track two starts ago if she is to follow up.

Forecasts

Secret Agent (3/1), Coronation Cottage (3/1), Jashma (9/2), Secret Potion (9/2), Lightoller (6/1), Stoneyford Lane (7/1)

Verdict

A typical trappy-looking sprint where any looks capable of winning it on their day, but JASHMA has been competing well at this level of late and will probably appreciate this sound, rather than quick surface, so he is suggested. Secret Potion and Coronation Cottage and last-time winners at this venue and are respected under a penalty and a 3lb rise respectively, while rain would be a positive for Stoneyford Lane's chance. Secret Agent is another you can't rule out, but he will need further improvement if he is to avoid another narrow defeat at the track.
  1. Jashma
  2. Stoneyford Lane
  3. Secret Agent
