Has looked a decent performer since going hurdling this year, winning twice (including over C&D in June) and only just going down last time at Uttoxeter. Lost very little in defeat there and rates a big player again.
Easy winner of a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon earlier in the season and comes here off the back of two wins on the Flat, likely to give this a real go on handicap hurdle debut.
Two wins from 11 starts over timber and comes here on the back of successive Flat wins, latest over 2m at Ffos Las nine days ago on good to soft. Has to be in the mix off fair mark.
Better chaser than hurdler, but has plenty to prove in either sphere right now. Well beaten off this mark at Southwell in May and others rate more likely to go well here.
Twice a winner over hurdles already, though has crept to a rather high handicap mark now. Wears a hood for the first time here and perhaps playing for minor money.
Showed very little at Worcester in June when returned from more than 500 days off the track, looks best watched on the back of that effort.
Gained sole career win for this trainer in February 2015 over 2m at Ludlow, little to shout about since however including last month on first start back having spent time with Neil Mulholland. Has a bit to prove currently.
Good effort in reappearance at Newton Abbot last month over slightly longer trip, just getting touched off into second spot. No win since 2014 but that encouraging and just 4lb higher for this.

It might pay to focus on the pair that have been in fine recent form on the Flat, SHINING ROMEO and Authorized Too. Preference is for the former, who scored with ease at Huntingdon earlier in the spring and comes here on the back of two fine wins on the level. He's got a good chance of a winning start in handicaps. Authorized Too won well at Ffos Las recently and should be primed to give this a major push while top-weight Comanche Chieftain is not ruled and has winning C&D form on his side. Tamarillo Grove may be one of the more likely challengers at a price following on from a good reappearance at Newton Abbot.
