Impressive at Warwick in May when jumping soundly and coming right away for an easy victory, possibly unlucky next time out at Market Rasen when a bad mistake at the last cost him any chance. Still looks competitive off this mark and with trip and likely ground fine, looks a player.
Winner at Uttoxeter last September (over half a mile further) and on a fair mark on that, but well behind Abidjan at Warwick in May and hard to see how he turns that form around.
Has won two of his last three and unlucky to bump into the improving Tempestateflouresco on the other, showed this C&D suits when winning here last time out and should still be competitive from a 5lb higher mark. Will give it a good go from the front.
Looked to be going the right way after wins at Huntingdon and Newton Abbot this spring but seemed to find the weight rise for those wins beyond him at Perth last time out. Chance if bouncing back but others look better handicapped now.
Useful handicap chaser on his day but this trip looks on the short side (last win over half a mile further) and he gave up the ghost pretty quickly last time out. Best watched until showing some signs of a resurgence.
Inconsistent these days, came good at Fontwell in June but thumped on latest start (over hurdles) and with yard not really in any great form, would be a surprise winner.
Winner for Gary Moore at Warwick last November (three runner affair) but not so good since, and this trip looks far too short on first run for new yard today. Others preferred.
Forecasts
Ink Master (5/2), Cottersrock (5/2), Abidjan (7/2), Gabrial The Great (10/1), Vikekhal (11/1), Deauville Dancer (11/1), Purple 'n Gold (18/1)
The two to concentrate on look to be the improving pair of ABIDJAN and Ink Master, both in good form and looking like they have more to offer. Ink Master will try and run the finish out of Abidjan but if the latter jumps as well as he did when winning at Warwick he will be hard to shake off, and may have a bit too much in the latter stages. Gabrial The Great may be best of the rest.
