Losing run is starting to look longer and longer now and he's for the most part run well below form of late despite a steadily declining mark. Would need to return to his best here to figure and that's a big ask.
Last two runs have been unimpressive (possibly needed the run both times) but he is off a very low mark here if he came back to form and his last win came in better company than this.
Like a few of these it's been a long time between drinks and we don't see much of this one on turf these days. Capable off this mark and should remain competitive if he can still show his form on turf.
Her second career win this year showed that she was better than ever crucially for today showing that she can handle testing ground. Has excuses for her last two defeats in terms of trip (1m4f) and grade (Class 5) and will be much happier at this level.
Ridden by one of the more experienced riders in this race and showed that he might be coming back to form last time out over C&D. Slipped way down in the weights and just beaten in a tight finish and may have a little more to offer here given that performance.
Only lightly-raced and has one standout effort to her name in maidens when fourth over 7f at Catterick (still look green). Failed to repeat that effort last time out over the same C&D and now makes her handicap debut stepping up in trip on a testing surface.
Only modest looking form in handicaps and has proved well below form for the most part this season. Ran no sort of race last time but a move back to this trip might be a help.
Looks and remains a poor maiden and was well held over C&D last time in a similar contest finishing last on firm ground. One of the less likely types here even in a weak contest.

There are a couple her that if they came back to form would be dangerous off their marks but that is an “if” for contenders like Polar Forest and Hussar Ballad. There must still be a doubt about Four Wishes and his stamina on this ground while Rubis is likely to be one of the main dangers back in trip and down in grade. The Bastiman yard are in good form though and with the experienced Carol Bartley taking the ride JOHN CAESAR is the suggestion especially after his good run here last time out.
