Remains a maiden after 24 attempts and has rejoined his original yard after a spell with John Best. Drops to this grade for the first time and will be dangerous if he gets an easy lead although that won't be easy from a wide draw.
A winner here on her penultimate start over C&D she was really suited by the run of the race on that occasion with the strong pace really bringing her stamina into play. Ran as well last time out (ran into a progressive three-year-old) and even though she was beaten 5L showed enough to be of interest here if getting a good pace to aim at.
A rare runner at the track for his trainer who runs two in this event most of his form is modes and he can be slowly away. Won at Bath In May over a similar trip but he's been poor since then in all three starts.
C&D winner back in 2014 she's only won once since then and hasn't got her head in front since 2015. Ran her best race this year in a Leicester seller (travelled well) but failed to build on that last time out and not one to be especially interested in.
Not been seen on the Flat since running on the AW at Wolverhampton in September (finished last) and has been hurdling since without much success. Given her recent form others are preferred here.
The second contender from the yard his long losing run came to an end over hurdles on his penultimate start at Newton Abbot but he fell heavily last time out. His Flat form earlier in the year was fairly modest though and that's likely to be as good as he is these days.
Very lightly raced and only had four outings in the last two seasons showing very little and not one to be interested in here even at this lowly level.
The sole three-year-old in the field but he is from a staying family although he was probably tried over too far here last time out (2m). His original mark looked a stiff one but he's come down in the weights since then and his last run was better than his final position suggests and he can be given a chance here dropping in grade.

As sellers go this isn’t a bad one and there are a few in here that have been holding their own in slightly better company. Bridey’s Lettuce is one of those and he’ll be dangerous if he can gain a soft lead although doing so from a wide draw might be awkward. Thomas Crown is only three-year-old in the field but he’s of interest dropping in grade and with his mark now looking a more acceptable one. Cool Music is a rather enigmatic customer but a strong pace will bring her stamina into play over a C&D she’s already been successful over. TRED SOFTLY isn’t exactly a winning machine but his form in handicaps gives him a chance here and his consistency is a quality that many don’t possess in this.
- Tred Softly
- Cool Music
- Thomas Crown
