Made a winning debut when successful over 6f at Brighton (good-to-firm) a month ago. Came clear of his rivals on that occasion and an interesting runner in this contest.

Finished fourth of eight when making his debut over 6f at Newbury (good-to-firm) earlier this month. Likely to have improved for the experience and one for the shortlist here.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: D Nolan| T: R A Fahey

Finished last of 11 when making his debut over 6f at York (good) a fortnight ago. Represents a leading stable but others make more appeal today.

Best effort came when third of six over 5f at Newmarket (good-to-firm) in early May. Filled the same position over an extended 5f at Bath (firm) next time and likely to run well once more.

Attempted to make all prior to weakening into 11th in a 15 runner 6f Newbury (good) novice contest on debut earlier this month. Drop in trip should suit here.

Beaten 1L into third on debut in a four runner event over 5f at Bath (firm) in May but well beaten in a much bigger field at Leicester (good-to-firm) eight days later. Interesting if repeating that debut effort.

Goldakoya
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11| J: Toby Eley(7)| T: D M Loughnane
100/1
Unraced daughter of Captain Gerrard out of a mare who was an 18 time winner at up to 1m7f. Probably best watched on racecourse debut.

Forecasts

Qaaraat (6/4), Bobby's Charm (15/8), Pranceabootthetoon (6/1), Deviate (12/1), Ghepardo (16/1), Lucky Lucky Man (16/1), Goldakoya (100/1)

Verdict

BOBBY'S CHARM ran well despite showing signs of inexperience when making his debut at Newbury earlier this month and he is taken to get off the mark at the second time of asking here. Trainer Robert Cowell has a 17% strike-rate (3/18) of late and the selection can improve on that here at the chief expense of Brighton winner Pranceabootthetoon who has been a non-runner a couple of times since that debut success. Qaaraat is another to note having run well on all three starts to date.
  1. Bobby's Charm
  2. Pranceabootthetoon
  3. Qaaraat
