Former Ayr Silver Cup winner in 2015 off a mark 97 over C&D (apprentice ridden) and although he's not quite up to that class now he's still a capable sprint handicapper. 10th of 13, well beaten last day here over 6f.
Useful sprinter on his day, track and trip both fine and effort at Chester forgiven (slowly away, and never got in it). Second of six, beaten a neck. Up 2lb and 1f here today.
Winner of three races since joining this yard earlier this year. But struggling since weight rise and stable are one from 16 on the Flat turf in the last 14 days.
Has won over this trip on fast ground, though most of his wins have been on good or slower ground, including the latest of them at Doncaster (6f, heavy) in May. Place twice here from three starts.
Picked up from Brian Ellison for £5,000 in May, and back to form winning for this trainer at Ayr in June (6f). Forget last run on All-weather at Newcastle.
Last win came over this C&D last year, and is 7lb lower now, so has her plus points, and she turned in her best run for a while when third to Dark Defender, before fifth of 10 here two weeks ago.
One of four runners from this stable she has been in good form so far this year and struck for the second time this year over C&D, before fourth of nine last day over CD. Now 10lb higher than last win.
Not showing anything like his two-year-old form for this yard and although his run at Ayr yesterday is best forgotten as he lost all chance at the start. Not one to have a huge amount of faith in though even with his mark starting to fall.
Forecasts
Tatlisu (7/2), Aprovado (7/2), Gilmer (4/1), Specialv (11/2), Khelman (8/1), Sea Of Green (9/1), Zylan (9/1), Dawoodi (28/1)
APPROVADO, could have a couple of these in trouble by half way as crack apprentice tries to make all. Gilmer, forget last run on All-weather at Newcastle and Khelman, place twice here from three starts can follow the selection home.
