A solid second behind impressive winner Sands Chorus in Ripon 1m2f handicap on good ground, was bettered with a win at the same course over 1m2f, up 5lb for that effort.
Began this campaign with a good run at Nottingham, but was pulled up after a stalls injury at Hamilton, before sixth of 14, only beaten 1¾L in class 2 York handicap.
C&D winner and has been in good form this year with three wins all over this C&D and his other runs here also read well. Second of seven here last week ½L behind Maulesden May.
Has won a couple of handicaps at Musselburgh and Ripon this term at up to this distance, well beaten on last two starts off this mark.
Only turf win came in April at Catterick over 7f off a mark of 60 has continually struggled of this 13lb higher mark.
