Has looked on the way back to form on a few occasions this season helped by a mark that is falling and not beaten far last time at Thirsk.
Has been running well from this or similar marks of late to make the frame at Wetherby (7f, good to firm), Carlisle (6f, good to firm) and Hamilton (5f, good), on his last three starts. Now back up to 7f.
From a yard that are punching and wining way above their weight at the moment anything they run has to be taken seriously. Sixth of seven last day but only beaten 2½L. One for the shortlist.
Remains a maiden and really only one run of note this year to his name when fourth at Hamilton in May, but well beaten at Ayr and Hamilton, third of nine, not beaten far here on good ground over 6f.
Won three times for Richard Fahey, but has had eight races in fairly quick times since joining this yard this season and dropped more than a stone in the handicap.
Won his second race race in 24 Flat races when winning a Chepstow 7f handicap on good ground, under David Probert.
Yet to win on turf, though has made the frame a few times. Third of five in Carlisle 7f on good to firm two weeks ago.
Ran one of his better races in the same headgear combination under an inexperienced rider. Fourth of 11, beaten 3L behind Cosy Club under Paul Mulrennan here last week.
Well beaten in all three maidens over various trips (5f, 1m & 1m2f) and fifth of seven on handicap debut at Carlisle over 5f.
Winner over 7f at Wolverhampton off this mark in March and a couple of respectable efforts since including when 1L fourth over 1m at Wetherby, before fifth of eight in Brighton 1m handicap.
Well beaten and no impression on his last three runs at Newcastle for Jim Goldie and three starts at the same track for new yard.
Has regressed markedly in the last couple of seasons with his last win coming back in 2013 over 6f. Eighth of 11, well beaten last day here last week.
Half-brother to Group 2 Duke of York Stakes winner Tiddlywinks but has so far shown no ability in four outings, finishing well behind on all occasions.
Forecasts
Harbour Patrol (7/2), Jack Blane (5/1), Champion Harbour (7/1), Greengairs (8/1), Insurplus (8/1), Fortuities (9/1), Ralphy Boy (12/1), Picks Pinta (12/1), Stardrifter (16/1), Redarna (20/1), New Decade (25/1), Pipe Dreamer (40/1), Centre Haafhd (40/1)
It could turn out that Ralphy Boy, Fortunities, Jack Blane and Centre Haafhd compete for the lead here, during the early stages of the race. Those tactics could see the race fall to the likes of Harbour Patrol, Greengairs and, the selection, CHAMPION HARBOUR, third of five in Carlisle 7f on good to firm two weeks ago.
- Champion Harbour
- Greengairs
- Harbour Patrol
