Refound some of his better form to score over half a mile further here last time out, and still very well treated on old form even under a penalty here. Question is whether he will be as effective at 2m as further but chance obvious to see all the same.
Would carry this lot on the best of his form but it's some while since he showed that, although didn't fare badly when coming up against the improving Stynes at Southwell two starts back., Softer ground no use to him last time, but still ran fine, so chances if rain keeps off again here.
Likes to lead, and ran as well as could have been expected when third here last time out (Solar Impulse one place in front of him). May face some competition from Desertmore View for the lead here, which would lessen chance, and on that, others preferred.
Useful multiple-winning point-to-pointer that is having his first start for the yard today. Still looks well handicapped on best form but the big question is whether he will have the raw pace for 2m these days, with most wins coming over much further (and tried 3m5f two starts back).
Well backed on both starts for this yard but has disappointed very badly and not beaten a horse home. Suspicion is that he's better than he's shown so far but can't be entertained until showing more.
In cracking form and gained another deserved win at Market Rasen last weekend, travelling and jumping well to get the better of Spring Steel on the run-in. Stays this far, may want the rain to stay away but that aside, chances under a penalty again.
Forecasts
Cut The Corner (11/8), Muwalla (4/1), Desertmore View (5/1), Solar Impulse (5/1), Red Giant (10/1), The Yank (11/1)
This looks like it will be run at a fast and furious pace, with the classy pointer Desertmore View and The Yank pushing on early, and that should suit both CUT THE CORNER and Muwalla , both in form and will appreciate a good pace to come off. Preference is for Alastair Ralph's top weight, who really looks like his old self at present and is taken to follow up his win here last time.
- Cut The Corner
- Muwalla
- Desertmore View
