Looked to underperform a little last year in handicaps but bounced back to form on his first run of the year winning a 6f handicap at Thirsk off a mark of 72. Has run fairly consistently after that apart from one run and matched his winning form last time out when third to Related at Nottingham over 6f and drops in grade up in trip here.
A Redcar 5f winner last year when he was in good form he appeared to run well when tried over 7f for the first time but was in better form then than he is now. Has looked a little rusty so far in a couple of outings both over shorter and he might just need this run also.
Still yet to score in a handicap (had plenty of chances) and only finished third on his one previous try at this level. Consistent enough sort but his lack of winning form is off putting and he's not obviously well treated at the weights here.
Drops back to this grade after running with credit in handicaps the last twice with his last run being of note as he did well to stay on for third having been up with an overly strong pace all the way. Usually likes to go from the so the wide draw won't really help here and the weights give him a fairly stiff task.
One of four three-year-olds in the field which is evenly split between the two age groups allowed to enter this race. Not quite fired this year off a tough looking mark although the handicapper is starting to relent and a drop into this grade may help further.
Only win so far came in an AW seller and beaten twice in that sphere since although he did run with a little bit of credit back in a handicap last time out on the AW. Given his overall form he isn't an obvious contender here though.

Not a bad race for the grade with a few options available to backers and Lonely The Brave will appreciate the drop in class and looks to be the best of the three-year-olds. They are also represented by Sureyoutoldme although the long absence for that one is an obvious drawback and the older group might just hold sway here in the shape of ANCIENT ASTRONAUT whose handicap form looks good enough to win this. Dyllan and Bernie’s Boy are two others who may be able to make their presence felt here.
