From a stable that are going well at the moment with plenty of winners on the board this one looks a fair sort within this grade. He finally produced his best effort last time out when winning a 6f seller at Ripon although that was a weak contest.
Has a record that reads 0/6 so far having run in a variety of events but dropped to selling grade last time he looked an awkward customer and with his yard struggling he's not one to be interested in here.
Only had a couple of runs so far and after a modest debut run he was dropped in grade into a valuable seller last time out and showed very little. Gelded now he still needs to improve even at this lowly level although the yard are always respected with their two-year-olds.
Just the one run in his CV so far when came in a 5f Goodwood seller where he started at 8/1 but finished well beaten and offered little overall. Now steps up in trip but looks to still have a difficult task on his second start.
Four runs so far so not lacking in experience and he got himself back on track last time out when finishing fifth in the first nursery of the season at Haydock over 6f. Has looked as though he could do with a stiffer test and gets that here although some headgear would have looked useful also but one of the leading candidates based on what he's done so far.
A drop into a seller and a claimer on her last two starts has shown very little improvement in form and her lowly rating that she has so far probably sums her up and her chance here.
Has very much looked as though the experience was needed on her two outings so far on both occasions held-up and looking as though she was outpaced over 7f. Now looks as though she is a long -term project and will need further than this 7f although the drop into a seller may help.
After showing some ability on her debut in a fillies' novice at Ripon over 5f she was quickly dropped in grade to a seller and claimer over the same trip. That form only looks modest but she looks as though she will be suited by this increased trip and should be in the mix.
Forecasts
Shovel It On (6/4), Placebo Effect (11/4), Mr Carbonator (7/1), Society's Dream (7/1), Pearl's Calling (10/1), Miss Mazzie (20/1), One Drunken Night (22/1), Heavenly Pulse (80/1)
A modest start to the card and Placebo Effect should make his presence felt given how well his yard are going at the moment but SHOVEL IT ON should be suited by this test and looks well treated at the weights here after his nursery run last time out. Pearl’s Calling and Mr Carbonator are another pair that could show some improvement but it’s Society’s Dream who looks a bigger danger than that pair.
- Shovel It On
- Placebo Effect
- Society's Dream
