In good form early in the season and completed the hat-trick with a win at Ayr having won his previous two over C&D and has maintained his form since then despite the slightly higher marks. Showed that he didn't know how to run a bad race at Ayr yesterday and likely to run well again if he does come here.

A winner at Newmarket earlier in the year when he was favourite over 5f he's failed to build on that run in three subsequent runs. He's looked rather awkward at the stalls in his last two runs and was slow away last time and unseated the rider the time before and won't want to on the back foot here.

From a yard that have done terrifically well with their sprinters this year and this one added to their haul when winning over C&D last time out off a 3lb lower mark. Beat the well-handicapped Longroom with Economic Crisis back in third last time and that showed he was still very capable of winning when things drop his way.

A winner on his debut as juvenile on the AW he's been well backed in all his starts since but has failed to click on turf the last twice over 5f (never settled in either run). Obviously thought to be better than his mark of 80 but his last two starts have left more questions than answers.

C&D winner twice last year the last of those off a 1lb higher mark and did run a better race last time out. Not the most consistent though and has a little work to do with Silvanus.

First run for a new yard having previously been with David O'Meara and beaten in a small field seller last time out at Wolverhampton over 5f (odds-on favourite). That hardly inspires confidence although the yard does have a good record with turning around wayward sprinters.

Forecasts

Royal Brave (5/2), Pearl Acclaim (9/2), Rock Of America (9/2), Paddy Power (5/1), Silvanus (11/2), Economic Crisis (7/1), Bronze Beau (8/1), Dawoodi (12/1)

Verdict

Royal Brave will be if interest if she does run here after again showing how consistent he is with another good run at Ayr yesterday. A few of the others have question marks over them like Paddy Power at the stalls and Rock Of America on turf with Bronze Beau another not certain to run here as he was also engaged at Beverley yesterday evening. SILVANUS needs everything to drop his way but his yard are having a fabulous year with their sprinters and he may well be able to follow-up his C&D win if he gets a good pace to run at again.
  1. Silvanus
  2. Royal Brave
  3. Bronze Beau
