Shown very little in six starts for this yard including three attempts over C&D. Drop back down in trip failed to reignite the fire last time out and while she looks well-handicapped on bits and pieces of her form, she's hard to fancy in current mood.
Still a maiden after seven starts and she was a very disappointing seventh of eight at Brighton last time out when backed into favouritism. Did run okay here earlier in her career but draw won't be easy to over come this time around and others arrive with stronger claims.
Still a maiden after 11 starts and while he looked sure to get off the mark at some stage earlier in his career, he's seemingly not trained on as a three-year-old and failed to place on five starts this year. Disappointing last time out in first-time headgear and plenty of questions to answer for now.
Not won for nearly two years now but has tumbled down the weights as a result. All seven of his wins have come on the AW and while his very best form is on a Tapeta surface, he has won several times on Polytrack. Has been hinting a return to form is imminent on his last couple of starts and it would be no surprise to see him run well again. The concern would be that hold up performers aren't often seen to best effect around here.
Has some useful gate-speed for this grade and often able to race prominently, as seen over C&D last time out when managing to get over from a wide draw. Struggles to sustain her effort in the closing stages though and she's now raced sixteen times without winning. Not dismissed out of hand but she probably needs a step back in trip to be seen at her best.
Yet to place in six starts, including on her last two outings for this yard. Has given the impression there is a race in her on a couple of occasions when trained in Ireland but may need more relief from the handicapper before she's of interest and she has an absence to overcome.
Has won three times in his career including twice here but never won over this far. Seemingly well-handicapped now and most of his best form has come around here but this draw will be tough to overcome.
C&D winner here last year with this jockey on board but not managed to win since. Well beaten on all five starts this year but he can't be ruled out if he returns to form from 5lb lower than his last winning mark and a handy draw.
Well beaten on first three starts in maidens but improved on handicap debut to finish third of 13 at Wolverhampton last week. Entitled to come on for that run and she gets the services of a talented apprentice who can claim 5lb. Leading claims provided the step back in trip doesn't prove to sharp.
Still a maiden after 10 starts and yet to manage a placed effort. Can often break slowly, which would generally be considered a major negative around here and needs the switch to AW to spark vast improvement. Gets the services of a promising apprentice at least.
Well beaten in a trio of maidens and showed no more ability switched to handicap company last time out. Hard to fancy on what he's shown to date and needs first-time blinkers to improve him markedly.
Not beaten many home in five starts to date and looks up against it from a basement mark once again here. Hardly shown any ability and wide draw won't help matters.
Forecasts
Anna Medici (3/1), Breaking Free (9/2), Royal Peace (5/1), Kiribati (6/1), Caledonian Gold (7/1), Black Truffle (8/1), Lady Morel (14/1), Cookie Ring (16/1), Noble Act (16/1), Humour (20/1), Golden Harbour (25/1), Artsteelwork (50/1)
ANNA MEDICI looks like the one to beat after an improved performance on just her fourth start last time out; with an unexposed profile, she could well prove the one to beat. Cookie Ring has course and distance form to his name and won with this apprentice on board last time out while Caledonian Gold may be able to hang on for a place, particularly if she gets an easy lead.
- Anna Medici
- Cookie Ring
- Caledonian Gold
